How to Break the Sugar Habit - a Masterclass

About this Masterclass

This is a Masterclass for people who want to cut down on their sugar intake, or perhaps quit eating added sugar completely.

So many of us turn to sugar to comfort us, to ease cravings, to fill a gap.

And, although it’s obviously not as damaging as alcohol, the impact of sugar on our mental health, our cognitive function, our hormones, our guts, our joints and our muscles, our immune system, is not to be taken lightly.

When we are trying to quit damaging substance or behaviour (like eating too much sugar), it’s important that we support ourselves with self-compassion. Key to this is understanding why we behave in certain ways.

What makes us feel the way we do, and behave the way we do?

Thank you for a hugely informative and enjoyable Masterclass. I learnt a lot and it will be useful moving forward with structure, intention and gentleness.

You shared many pearls of wisdom and key points which are encouraging and make great sense. You also make me feel positive that things can be improved with gentle steps.
— Hettie
The Masterclass had a huge impact on me and I feel inspired to eliminate sugar as much as possible.

I found it useful to have graphs (love visuals) and explanations of how we all physically function slightly differently and how we need to be mindful of what and when we eat.
— Suzanne

Facilitated by Lindsey Beveridge, Registered Nutritionist (mBANT, CNHC), Recovery Nutrition Ltd.

My personal history of overcoming an alcohol addiction, a nicotine addiction and binge-eating has led me to have a special interest in working with people who struggle with alcohol or other damaging substances or behaviours.

Since qualifying as a registered nutritionist in 2019 I have helped 1000s of people quit drinking, and/or change their sugar habit or shift damaging behaviour patterns. I’ve helped them implement positive changes to their diet and lifestyle so they can feel better.

I offer non-judgemental support for people who might be exhausted, anxious, stuck or stressed, and possibly self-medicating, so that life becomes calmer and more manageable.
